CranioSacral Therapy

What does a typical Craniosacral therapy session look like?

I invite you to lay down (fully clothed) on your back. We can use pillows for comfort, or make other accommodations if laying on your back is not comfortable. Peaceful sounds and ambient light help to put your nervous system in a relaxed state, and then we begin listening to your body and providing the support you need in order to promote your natural healing process. My hands gently touch areas of your body and help guide your tissues toward homeostasis-optimal health and function. Sometimes, your body needs your mind to recognize certain things before a trauma can be processed, so we may have a little conversation or dialogue to help link up your mind and body. We can talk as much or as little as you would like, as it is all about your healing process!

What does a typical TherEx Flow look like?

Please come dressed in clothes you can move in, nothing tight or restrictive. I will need to know some things about your body/medical diagnosis to know which particular poses would not be compatible with what your body has going on. Then, we will unroll our mats and get started! I’ll select stretching and strengthening postures and movements catered to your specific needs. If you would like, I can video record the session so you can watch it (and perform it) over and over at home.

These therapies work best in combination

After aligning your tissues with bodywork, we can use TherEx Flow to retrain your body how to work functionally and without pain. Then, you can use this new freedom between sessions to continue building up your best self.
